JOEL: The Fed, the government now is going to enforce the rules of TCPA some of these rules and some of them become very stringent. There’s a lot of fines and the end just doesn’t justify the means to dial thousands of people a day that don’t want to be called. Okay?
LIRAN: Millions
JOEL: Yeah, millions.

And in general, they’re afraid of the fines. The end doesn’t justify the means. So it is better to take more calls and just jeopardize your business? Take a few less calls, have a better customer. It stays on the books longer, especially for insurance and, you know, home services. That’s what they want. They want a premium customer.

You’re going to get that from direct mail that you’re not going to get from digital leads and from outbound dialing.
LIRAN: So there’s no way you could – there’s no way you could apply the kind of targeting that we do on to something like that because your universe that you have to start calling from has to be so humongous. You have to basically call every house in America because most people are not picking up the phone for numbers they don’t recognize.

Your connection rate. Right? On a call is so low that to convert that into a meaningful amount of calls, you can’t wipe out 80 or 90% of a –
JOEL: You’d call everybody.
LIRAN: You have to call everyone and just hope that you, you know, get what you’re looking for.
0:01:34 – 0:01:57
If the person doesn’t pick up the phone and they don’t talk to anybody, they don’t even know that you tried to reach them with the mail, even when they don’t pick up the phone, even if they don’t respond to the advertisement –
JOEL: Also I want to –
LIRAN: If you’re a company – But I’m saying even if they don’t pick up the phone and call or go to your website or fill out a card or whatever it is, at least with direct mail, a non-response is still a touchpoint.
0:01:58 – 0:02:08
You’re still – they’ve still become more aware of your brand. Whereas with that, with an outbound call, an outbound program, no answer is like it didn’t even happen.
