DK Solutions Named Inc. Honoree for 3rd Consecutive Year

We are excited to announce that our company DK Solutions has been recognized once again as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies for 2024. This August, Inc. Magazine announced that our company has made the Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year in a row!

Chief Executive Office Joel Dickstein said “Last year I said it would be great to have a ‘Three-peat’ and it is indeed a ‘Three-peat’.”

For 2024, DK Solutions ranked in the top 75 within the state of New Jersey and 2,017 nationally.

To meet the minimum qualifications for the 2024 Inc 5000 list, a company must earn a minimum of $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and a minimum of $2 million in revenue in 2023. Once a company meets these qualifications, Inc. Magazine then ranks these applicants according to overall percentage growth rate over the past three years.  

This year, the combined revenue of all 5000 companies reached $317.1 billion, with a combined 208% median growth. There are 500 newly founded companies on the 2024 list and 874,940 jobs added.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20% of small businesses fail within their first year. This is DK Solutions’ 9^th year in business, and third as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. 

“It just goes to prove, direct mail marketing is still doing great in 2024,” Chief Operations Officer Liran Kapoano said, “And that in my mind is a vindication not just of the medium, but our approach to it specifically. Many businesses wrote off direct mail almost 20 years ago. But it’s our team’s execution that enables us to thrive. And that’s what we’re doing every day.”

Not only does this demonstrate the strength of our company, but also the direct mail marketing industry as a whole. With the company’s 10^th anniversary coming up next year, it is important to reflect on past success to understand how this company came to be. 

DK Solutions: About Us

When DK Solutions first began, the direct mail industry was burdened with outdated practices such as large, untargeted campaigns that delivered mail to everyone within a postal route or zip code. 

The result? Millions and millions of mailers were sent to unqualified prospects that were immediately thrown into the garbage. Creating waste for both the campaign and the environment. 

When DK Solutions launched in 2015, Dickstein and Kapoano set out to address this issue firsthand. With the introduction of the data-backed TargetList methodology, companies across all sectors could finally deliver their message to ONLY ideal prospects – cutting down on mail volume and saving company campaign spending. 

The TargetList strategy ensures that every direct mail campaign remains extremely targeted for high response rates and increased ROI. This data-backed system focuses on the top 10 to 20 percent of addresses that are most likely to respond, cutting down on 80 to 90 percent of unnecessary mail volume. 

The TargetList methodology for direct mail has helped DK Solutions continue its rapid expansion by catering to numerous different industries, including insurance, home services, and nonprofit fundraising. 

The Inc. 5000 ranking and the approaching 10^th company anniversary in May are not the only achievements that DK Solutions reached this year. Besides rapid business growth and success, the company is also making headway in its environmental impact. 

2024 Tree Planting Program

As part of DK Solutions’ ongoing effort to improve our local and global impact, our company launched its Annual Tree Planting Program in April 2022. This program is in partnership with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit company specializing in reforestation efforts across the globe. 

Every minute, our planet loses approximately 36 football fields of trees, totaling to about 15 billion trees per year. While our company makes an active effort to reduce our mail volume with our TargetList methodology, there’s no question that our business, no matter how seemingly inconsequential, plays a role with our printing and mailing services. 

Which is why three years ago, DK Solutions launched the Annual Tree Planting Program to help give back and protect the environment from the constant threat of deforestation. 

Here’s how we do it:

First, we calculate the number of trees that were used in our campaigns throughout the year. Then, we triple that number to determine how many trees we will plant into an area of our choosing. 

With our 1:3 replanting model, our day-to-day operations give BACK to our environment, instead of simply replacing the trees we use in our campaigns. And with the added benefit of the trees being planted in nationally protected forests & parks, all trees we replant will be federally protected for years to come. 

2024 Hawaii Project

This year, our company contributed to the 2024 Hawaii Project. The state may be known for its tropical wildlife and active volcanos, but it also holds a special place for Kapoano as he has a special connection to the Aloha state. 

“We chose Hawaii for a variety of reasons, not only is it arguably one of the most beautiful places in the world, but it’s also a place that is prone to wildfires. Not just from freak events like what happened on Maui, but also from predictable volcanic activity.”

He continues, “It is a place that is very close to my heart, it’s the fiftieth state I’ve been to. It was the last one on my list. So that was pretty cool. And they’ve gone through such a terrible tragedy in that part of the world that we felt that it made the most sense to do whatever we could.”

The Future

From its humble beginnings in 2015 to ranking in the Inc. 5000 list three times in a row, DK Solutions and its leadership look to the future with optimism. With the 10^th anniversary coming up in May, Dickstein and Kapoano are excited for what’s to come in the next few months.
