Through all the trials and tribulations of running a business, Co-Founders Joel Dickstein and Liran Kapoano have shown what is possible for a direct mail business and the industry at large.
As we take the time to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we would also like to reflect on this past decade to remind ourselves of how it all started.
Our History
Our story begins in New Jersey, where Joel Dickstein and Liran Kapoano met as family friends over 30 years ago. Both parties reconnected in 2000 through the same telecommunications company, where they worked for 10 years together between 2000 and 2010.
Throughout their time working together, Dickstein and Kapoano observed how much money marketing companies would churn through in the hopes of finding more leads. As their experience in marketing grew, so too did their determination to improve the industry.
After several years working together in telemarketing, digital marketing, and direct mail, Dickstein and Kapoano were eager for a change. They understood the complexity of modern marketing practices – and the pitfalls of untargeted, blanket campaigns that rarely produced sustainable profit margins.
Instead of burning through 80% of a campaign budget on unsuitable prospects, Dickstein and Kapoano talked about forming a new company, one that prioritized audience targeting and response rates using the power of data modeling.
And in May 2015 – they did just that.
“There are a lot of companies that are experts when it comes to data. There are a lot of companies that are experts when it comes to mail. There are a lot of companies that are experts when it comes to printing and marketing,” said Liran Kapoano, Co-Founder and COO of DK Solutions.
“What’s kept us going for these ten years and will continue to keep us going for another ten years and beyond is the fact that we’re able to manage all three of those legs of the stool in a way that I don’t think that any of our competitors can or have.”
DK Solutions first operated in Edison, before ultimately moving to East Brunswick’s Tower 2 in the late summer of 2015. After two years, the company moved to Church St. in New Brunswick.

Both Dickstein and Kapoano especially enjoyed working next to the Stress Factory, a local comedy club featuring a variety of comedians from all over the country.
After six years of moving from office to office, the company finally settled in East Brunswick’s Tower 1 Center in 2021. It was there the company flourished and has remained ever since.
The DK Direct Mail Difference
When Dickstein and Kapoano first started their marketing company, they quickly pivoted to the direct mail industry. This was in part due to their combined experience in the field as well as the strong potential for direct mail services within the marketing industry.
The DK Solutions’ TargetList is a unique methodology that combines the power of data modeling for audience targeting with the company’s in-house response rate data.
Not only can the TargetList identify a company’s best potential customers (based on buying habits, characteristics, and personal preferences) but it also “trims the fat” by removing households that either do not fit the audience profile or are less likely to respond to direct mail.

Our Success

As of 2025, the company has mailed to every state in the country (over 2,500 counties) and generated hundreds of thousands of leads for clients from a variety of industries, including insurance, home services, and senior needs.
In addition to delivering premium customers for their clients, the company was also honored at the Inc 5000 as one of America’s fastest-growing companies for three consecutive years, with its highest rank hitting #1810 in 2023.
This success in business has also led to success in other areas – including environmental achievements. For the past four years, DK Solutions has contributed to reforestation and rehabilitation initiatives in some of our country’s most at-risk areas.

Our Future
While no one can predict the next few years, Dickstein and Kapoano have made great strides to establish themselves and their company in the past decade.
From their in-house TargetList methodology to their success in lead generation for a variety of industries, both founders look to the future with great optimism for DK Solutions and the direct mail industry.
