Job Description for DK Solutions Intern/Assistant

About the position: 

DK Solutions is currently seeking an assistant to our Chief Operating Officer, based out of our New Brunswick office. This position is an entry opportunity. Many of the tasks will involve training the candidate to eventually be promoted to the level of consultant in one (or more) of the fields we specialize in. To start, the candidate will be assisting the COO with, for example, some of the following tasks:

  • Excel spreadsheet creation and management
  • Social Media management and reporting, including running Insight reports from client’s Facebook pages
  • Light data entry
  • Assisting with setting up and running business networking events at our New Brunswick, NJ location
  • Assisting with invoice creation and working with the CEO’s office in Florida to ensure all clients are accounted for
  • Occasionally assisting our Lead IT Consultant with on-site systems maintenance
  • Assisting with blog and content creation
  • Assisting with answering phone calls
  • Assisting with creating written proposals

This position is part-time, but if the candidate is successful we expect to make it full-time within 3-6 months. We do not expect the candidate to be proficient in all of the above tasks; rather we are looking for someone with a working knowledge of Excel and Facebook that we will train. As the candidate learns and becomes more proficient, they can expect to receive more complex tasks. There is no sales or customer service involved with this position at all.

  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Facebook and Twitter
  • General IT-related skills
  • Some background in Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and other social media networks is a plus
  • Some experience with Adobe Photoshop is also a plus
